So as I posted a while ago we have been living in St. Louis Missouri for the summer. It has been a complete blast for me because of all of the family I get to see during the week. However, I am realizing that I will be really sad when we move back to Cedar City to start school in the fall, I will be all alone again. I guess I better soak it up!! It has been great seeing aunts and uncles giving me and Zach baby advice and not to mention the box full of free baby clothes!
A few weeks ago my mom was out here in St. Louis for the funeral of her younger brother Howard. Howard had a disease called Churgs-Strauss (sp). It is a auto-immune disease that views everything inside of you as a foreign object and will attack it. The average timeline given to live with this disease is about 5 years, Howard lived 8 years with it and is an amazing example to all of us it keep on enduring to the end and to never stop trying. I thought that while my mom was out here it might be nice for her to come with me to an ultrasound appointment and we could find out what I was having. At the end of the week that is exactly what we did. It was VERY clear that my little bundle of joy is a GIRL and she was not shy about it ;) I was so glad my mom could come with me- I think she is pretty excited to be a grandma x2!
I am currently 23 weeks and am feeling really good. I actually have a baby bump now. Living in St. Louis there is a lot of humidity and I have noticed that my feet or hands will swell if I'm outside for a long time. Now I'm not a fan of the word "swelling" or "water weight" because for some reason I always think of Violet from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory that blows up like a balloon when she eats that piece of gum. I have been really good about exercising every day thanks to my dog Max who I have to walk everyday or he gets to rambunctious in the house and will chew things. So every day I am walking for at least and hour, sometimes more.

ReplyDeleteAW what a cute baby bump! I wish mine was still that small... :-) I miss you! Don't be sad to move back to Cedar cuz maybe we'll still end up there too and we can have play dates with our babies! And maybe our babies will get married! Or maybe your little girl will marry Connor! Haha... again...MISS YOU! So glad you have the internet now!
